On Tuesday night, we returned to Allentown’s Jetport Bar & Lounge after a lengthy absence to catch our first glimpse of an emerging artist.

Singer-songwriter Tony Coonrod performed a featured set on Rocking the Valley, hosted by Steve Jones. The Northampton-based performer played a set of promising original material with intricate guitar work, while mixing in covers ranging from Wheatus to Buddy Holly.

Then, before heading out for the evening — there’s a lot of 2nd Birthday Spectacular work still to do — we caught the very beginning of a set from alternative rockers Banchi. The four-piece made its return to Rocking the Valley on After Hours with Nancy Jennings, which you can watch in full at this link.
