First Quarter Highlights: A Birthday Party, A Night to Remember, and More!

It’s hard to believe that we’re already a quarter of the way through 2018.

It’s been an eventful year so far at Lehigh Valley Underground, starting almost immediately with this epic birthday party back in January, and continuing recently with a night to remember at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards. As we’ve gone, we’ve announced new partnerships, looked forward to new and exciting programs, and continue to introduce new music to your ears on a daily basis by way of this nifty internet radio station we launched last year.

At the quarter pole, we can honestly say that 2018 has gotten off to as good a start as we could have asked. It hasn’t been easy, and there is still plenty of work to be done, but we’re as happy and proud as ever to do what we do here in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

What to expect from here? Well, first of all, our First Friday train rolls into the spring this coming Friday in South Bethlehem. Two weeks after that, the official start of festival season takes place on the SouthSide, which will open the floodgates for a spring and summer of fun.

Oh, and somebody’s getting auctioned off. That somebody might be me. You have all of my WLVU cohorts to thank for that on Saturday, May 19 at The Broadway Social.

That’s all just the tip of the iceberg. Remember, after all of that, summer will kick into high gear, culminating in many days and nights out on the town, and LVU looking to once again provide the most robust Musikfest free stage coverage that you’ll find anywhere. Not to mention, we’ll keep cooking things up to keep you guys entertained the whole year through. For example, I’ve already started thinking of ideas for our third birthday. It’s never too early…

Thanks for continuing to #GoUnderground with us. Oh, and buckle up, because this ride is just getting started.
