Since we last encountered local musician Chris Aguayo, he launched a new project, Inner Sounds, that has begun to make its mark in the Lehigh Valley in 2018.

On Wednesday, the band released “There’s No Shame,” an ode to being true to oneself, while calling to mind the industrial rock sound of predecessors like Nine Inch Nails.

The song’s tribal rhythms lend support to spacey guitars and atmospheric soundscapes, all tied together with Aguayo’s baritone vocal, which pleads simply that there is, indeed, nothing wrong with living life on one’s own terms.
