‘Better Late Than Never’: Shane Reimer and Them Spicy Boize EP Worth the Wait

One of the wonderful things about the internet is you can span the globe in your search for great new music and still keep your finger on the pulse of your roots. Lately, there has been some pretty special music coming right from home in eastern Pennsylvania.

“Better Late Than Never,” the much anticipated debut EP from Shane Reimer and Them Spicy Boize, is a perfect example that original music is alive and well in the Lehigh Valley. It’s a small sample size — four super-dynamic tracks — but it gives you a pretty good idea of what the “Boize” can do. From the hard-driving rock ‘n roll tune “Late” that kicks things off, to the jazzy “Out of Breath” that finishes it off, this record has it all. Like the blues? You’ll love “The Problem.” But, don’t take my word for it — go listen for yourself. I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

You can listen to “Better Late Than Never” below, or you can get your copy at shanereimer.com. And, if you find yourself in my neck of the woods, you can get out and support Shane this Friday at SouthSide 313 in Bethlehem as part of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series from 9 p.m.-midnight.
