PHOTOS: Greasediver, The Mad Sugars, and Forts Like Vana at The 5 Spot

Thursday night’s NashLive! show saw us return to The 5 Spot, and it sure was good for the soul.

It was also a great hang and a fun listen, as Greasediver, The Mad Sugars, and Forts Like Vana comprised a versatile lineup that moved seamlessly through varying shades of rock and roll. The night started with Greasediver’s unapologetic, harder-edged brand of self-proclaimed “power trash basement rock.” From there, we flowed into The Mad Sugars’ garage-rock-meets-dance-pop tunes, which blend pop punk bombast with nuanced grooves. From there, the groove continued with Forts Like Vana and their infectious, high-energy blend of pop rock, to lead us into the weekend with lifted spirits.

NashLive! is planning a big slate of shows for the fall, which you’ll be able to learn more about here in the coming days. For now, take in the views from this one!
