With ‘Maybe Crazy,’ Moonroof Captures the Essence of a Fading Summer

Our Philly-based friends Moonroof had themselves quite a summer, getting out on the live show circuit all over the Northeast in support of new music, including their latest album, Dream State.

All the while, they’ve stayed hard at work, always with an eye toward what’s on the horizon. On Friday, their latest single, “Maybe Crazy,” arrived over the horizon and onto your favorite streaming platform.

Sonically, “Maybe Crazy” captures the youthful essence of a fading summer. The single is driven forth by an infectious groove and filled out with bright, gorgeous guitar riffs kissed with just a touch of Yellowcard-esque punk edge. Lyrically, frontman Dave Kim sings of the torment within a toxic relationship that, in spite of its faults, he just can’t seem to quit.

Maybe you’ll be crazy about this one, too? Listen for yourself and let us know!
