SUMMARY:NashLive! Presents: Pepperwood\, Ali Aslam\, and Mary Jennings at The East Room
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, June 19\, NashLive! will return to The East Room to present an eclectic lineup featuring Pepperwood\, Ali Aslam\, and Mary Jennings. \nPepperwood\, the brainchild of Nashville native songwriter Zach Wyatt\, has been described as many things — and most of them good. They have a hard time fitting into a specific sound\, as every band member listens to a wide range of genres with influences peppered throughout\, but they’ve been compared to Relient K\, Kings of Leon\, Colony House\, Temper Trap\, and others. You may also recall that they joined NashLive! in April at The Cobra alongside Nicole Boggs & The Reel\, and they tore it up! \nAli Aslam’s nuanced and expansive debut record\, The Last American\, easily holds seemingly conflicting but ultimately congruent perspectives in hand. One of the most optimistic\, yet daunting themes across the record lies in the idea that we are ultimately responsible for the world we create. Aslam’s songs let us know we’re doing okay\, but we can do better. “Is this what everybody’s dreaming?” he challenges us. Can we dream bigger\, more inclusively\, more expansively? \nWith a big voice and passionate\, honest words\, Mary Jennings is a fiery siren that packs a big punch with her small frame. Her highly personal and emotional singing style is raw and captivating. After years of touring and releasing music\, she has come home and carved out her space in the Nashville scene.

SUMMARY:Sam Varga\, Alyssa Lazar\, and Borderline Natives at The East Room
DESCRIPTION:With just three short years in Nashville\, Sam Varga has already established himself as serious writer and dynamic performer. Coming up in the fast-paced punk scenes of his high school days and the blues of Austin\, Texas\, there is an edge and energy that makes his songs stand out in Music City. After quickly coming up through the writing ranks in Nashville\, Sam turned his attention to his solo career\, amassing more than a million streams on Spotify with 40\,000 monthly listeners\, and multiple viral videos with more than 100\,000 TikTok followers. Coming off of multiple viral releases\, his latest single “Fall Down” is a hint in a new direction\, and a nod to his pop/punk and emo roots. \nFueled by the sound and passion of classic rock and roll music\, Alyssa Lazar brings a 1970’s nostalgia to today’s pop/rock music. Lazar grew up in Scranton\, PA\, constantly surrounded by music\, and began singing at the age of three. Her transition from singer to musical artist began when she learned to play the piano at the age of eight. Following this\, she began to write songs\, compose\, and accompany herself for weekly performances at every venue throughout her hometown by the age of fifteen. After high school\, Alyssa moved to Nashville\, TN to continue pursuing her music career. Her love for piano\, mixed with her love for classic rock\, brought Alyssa’s music to a sound reminiscent of artists such as Elton John\, Lady Gaga\, Billy Joel\, and Queen. Lazar unapologetically brings out her fiery spirit and dauntless attitude within her theatrical\, rock and roll inspired sound. \nBorderline Natives have a streamlined alternative/pop punk sound that is being compared to Taking Back Sunday\, Neck Deep\, blink-182\, and State Champs. The band’s lyrical content relates to those who have ever felt lost\, those who have never belonged\, and anyone who has experienced heartbreak or a loss of unity. \n$10 | 18+ to enter | Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test to enter. \nTICKETS

SUMMARY:NashLive! Presents: Chloe Hogan\, Alyssa Lazar\, and Ali Henderson
DESCRIPTION:We’ll be back at The East Room on Thursday\, November 11 with another fresh lineup of Nashville-based female pop artists Chloé Hogan\, Alyssa Lazar\, and Ali Henderson. \nChloé Hogan takes pieces of every artist she’s ever heard\, to inspire her storytelling and songwriting. Her music includes an array of old Motown soul harmonies and live-sounding instrumentals. Though most of what Chloé writes seems to be accented by its bright and groovy nature\, the lyrics and overall feeling behind the music are much more somber. The “timeless” conversation of love — and the more evident loss — is the focal point of each work. The incredible dichotomy of her uplifting grooves\, partnered with her melancholy lyrical composition\, is perhaps the most unique component of Chloé Hogan’s music. Following this\, she began to write songs\, compose\, and accompany herself for shows and performances at every venue throughout her hometown weekly by the age of fifteen. After high school\, Alyssa moved to Nashville\, TN to continue pursuing her music career. Her love for piano mixed with her love for classic rock brought Alyssa’s music to a sound reminiscent of artists such as Elton John\, Lady Gaga\, Billy Joel\, and Queen. Lazar unapologetically brings out her fiery spirit and dauntless attitude within her theatrical\, rock and roll inspired sound. \nSouth Carolina native-turned-Nashville resident Ali Henderson was born to be something special. While southern culture is often synonymous with sweet tea\, warm nights\, and Country music\, it’s always refreshing for an Alt-pop artist like Henderson to emerge from quaint towns like Gaffney\, South Carolina. In 2015\, Henderson earned a one-way ticket to Hollywood thanks to American Idol\, impressing the likes of Keith Urban\, Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez. After the show she moved to Nashville\, where she completed a degree in Songwriting. Gutsy lyrics\, fresh yet familiar instrumentation\, and killer vocals are Henderson’s M.O. \n$10 at the door | 18+ to enter | Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test

Her music is compatible with fans of Alicia Keys\, Ariana Grande\, Amy Winehouse\, Ella Fitzgerald\, and Lianne LaHavas.  \nBorn just outside of New York City\, Dakota Ryley naturally picked up on the city’s R&B nuances\, contributing to her unique style of pop. The warm tone and effortless runs that her voice naturally carries reflect that culture. Blunt honesty\, spun through raw and real lyrics\, defines her ever-growing repertoire. SUMMARY:Live from the 615 Presents: Dan Fuson\, New Suede\, A Tribe of Horsman\, and Down Boy
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, August 18\, we’ll welcome Dan Fuson\, New Suede\, A Tribe of Horsman\, and Down Boy into the heart of East Nashville. \nIt’s been a big year for Dan Fuson. Not only did he absolutely slay a Live from the 615 virtual performance earlier this spring\, but before that\, he released an EP\, Young + Improving\, which pushed musical boundaries and cemented him as one of the most versatile pop rock artists in all of Nashville. \nNew Suede consists of Chandler Mills Brown\, Elijah Perron\, Alex Ramsay\, and Matt MacPhail. The Murfreesboro-based rock and roll band are veterans of the Nashville rock scene\, and have had a nice amount of streaming success — their single\, “Taxi\,” has accrued more than 20\,000 Spotify streams to date. \nA Tribe of Horsman recently participated in a spirited edition of UMC Fun -N- Games. Fronted by Dhalton Horsman\, the trio also features Sean van Rossum (bass) and Aaron Hopkins (drums). Together\, they’re working on their debut record\, which we might hear a bit of riiiiight around the time of this show. \nAnd then\, there’s Down Boy. They’re also Fun -N- Games alums\, and they just released a sick new video for their song\, “Traction\,” which has already amassed more than 1\,000 views. To top it off\, they’re one of the tightest trios you’ll ever hear play live. Prepare to be amazed!

SUMMARY:Live from the 615 Presents: Timothy Myles\, Natasha Blaine\, and SHELBYY
DESCRIPTION:We’ll be returning to The East Room (2412 Gallatin Ave.\, Nashville) on Thursday\, July 29 with a fun bill offering many different shades of pop. Joining us to complete this endeavor are the super talents of Nashville locals Timothy Myles\, Natasha Blaine\, and SHELBYY \nA Chicagoland native\, Timothy Myles kicked off the ticketed era of Live from the 615 shows\, back when our world was entirely virtual. His EP\, Songs of Hope from Sorrow\, was recorded live at Battery Lane Music in East Nashville\, and released in full this spring. An engaging performer and songsmith\, Myles’ performance will serve as a warm welcome to The East Room! \nSpeaking of that show back in March\, Natasha Blaine also crushed it that night. Since then\, she’s released her new EP\, titled I Fall in Love Too Easily\, which has only helped her brand of jazz-pop catch fire here in Nashville — and everywhere else! \nSHELBYY is a modern pop-punk/rock artists from Los Angeles\, currently residing in Nashville. Her new single\, “LOUD\,” is the quintessential post-COVID anthem\, and a sign of the fun\, edgy material she has coming down the pipeline. She’ll surely bring that same energy to the table when she joins us in East Nashville!

SUMMARY:Live from the 615 Presents: Talia Stewart\, Katie King\, and Fresh Lady at The East Room
DESCRIPTION:Talia Stewart has made waves with her dark pop sound on Nashville’s alternative scene in recent years\, and released an EP titled Murder\, She Wrote earlier this year. The lead single\, “This Killing Floor\,” has garnered more than 20\,000 Spotify streams to date. Talia’s recent success adds to her already impressive resume\, which includes placements on CW television series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash\, as well as viral success on TikTok for her single\, “Look Ma No Hands.” \nJoining Talia on the bill will be a versatile lineup featuring Katie King and Fresh Lady. King\, who released her Divine EP earlier this month\, is a rising star on Nashville’s alt-pop scene. The Concord\, NC native crafted the EP through the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic\, and uses her music as a vehicle for peace\, energy\, and self-empowerment. \nInspired by vocalists like Nina Simone\, Etta James\, Amy Winehouse\, and Sade\, Fresh Lady’s velvety voice winds you through a minefield of romance\, recovery\, and self-acceptance. The Brooklyn-born\, Nashville-based artist (real name: Emma Morcroft) earned her stripes singing at blues jams at the age of 14\, and her sound has progressed to a unique blend she calls “Soul Candy Pop\,” which can be heard on her debut EP\, Citrine\, available on all streaming platforms.
