Performers Wanted for ‘Double Nickel’ Wounded Warriors/Dreams Come True Benefit

Local man Matt Billy turns 55 on Saturday. He’s donating his birthday to two worthy causes, with a party featuring live music from local acoustic performers — and one of them can be you!

Matt’s “Double Nickel” celebration will take place Saturday, January 27 from 1-9 p.m. at American Legion Post 470 (278 Race St., Bath). Admission is $5 at the door, with proceeds going to benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation, as well as Dreams Come True, a non-profit granting wishes to terminally ill children.

Two to three more acoustic performers are wanted to donate their time to the event. The afternoon’s lineup already features 18 Strings of BAM, the acoustic project of VICTIM’s Cris Moser and Eric Budihas, Mike Roi of Roi and the Secret People, acoustic duo T&T, and local musician Logan Steidinger.

Those interested in performing can reach out via the benefit’s official Facebook event or by calling (610) 739-9765.
