Julia Sommer Advances to Rock Off ‘Final Exam’ at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Julia Sommer rocked Cleveland so hard, that she’ll be back to do it again next month!
The young singer-songwriter, representing Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this past Saturday as part of the 22nd Annual Tri-C High School Rock Off. Sommer was one of three finalists from her round of 12 selected to participate in The Final Exam, set to take place back at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 17.
Sommer will compete against 11 other finalists for a chance to receive $1,000 and $250 for her high school music program, with second place receiving $250 and $100 for their high school music program, and third place receiving a $100 cash prize. If she places within the top three, she will be invited to perform at special functions produced by the Rock Hall during 2018 induction week in Cleveland.
The first place winner will be invited to perform at the final installment of the 2018 Vans Warped Tour at Blossom Music Center, and at the Rock Hall’s annual Summer in the City program on the PNC Stage. One finalist will also be selected to perform at the 2018 Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland.
