New York native Christian Evanko, who we had the pleasure of meeting last month as part of an outstanding DIY showcase at Color Me Mine Lehigh Valley, is back with a bright new sound alongside his bandmates in The Stash.
The quartet just released its debut single, “How to Live,” fusing a bright pop hook with alternative rock sensibilities and a rhythmic presence of reggae to make for a tune that is intriguing, yet accessible to make for a potential smash hit.
The band — fronted by Evanko and consisting of Austin Pritz (Guitar), Andrew Gyomai (Bass), and drummer Michael LaPick — also took to an abandoned warehouse on what appears to have been a cold day to shoot the official music video for “How to Live,” providing an interesting contrast to the tune’s breezy, summery sound.
