PHOTOS: Whiskey Jam at Winners Bar and Grill
Monday night in Nashville means it’s time to party.
That’s always the case at Winners Bar and Grille. That’s where the semi-weekly Whiskey Jam takes place every Monday and Thursday. Labeled as “good music for good people,” the event has long been a showcase for up-and-coming artists, with Grammy winners like Kacey Musgraves having performed on its stage. It seems, through the years, that Whiskey Jam has become a can’t-miss event — at least, one can gather as much from the fact that it’s usually packed wall to wall with music lovers. Monday night was no exception.
We checked in about halfway through Monday night’s showcase, catching early sets from fiery California country singer Leah Turner and the steady rocking Read Southall Band from Oklahoma.
Then, we were able to nudge a little closer to the front. And, with our trusty Nikon D3200, Buckshot, in tow, the real fun began!
We got up there just in time to see rising country star Riley Green step in and play a few tunes at the eleventh hour. The Alabama native — who just released his new single, “In Love By Now,” on February 8 — created a Friday night-like atmosphere as he and his trio filled in for a last-minute cancellation with a short, but spirited set.

That brought us to the final act of the evening in New York’s Lauren Davidson. The alt-country powerhouse had flown into town earlier that day, and represented the Big Apple’s growing country scene well with a quick, high-energy set that added a dash of rock and roll flair to conclude the evening on an up note.

Sounds like a good time, right? The good news is, you can get in on the Whiskey Jam action just about any Monday or Thursday you’d like. More information can be found here.
