The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Tuesday, August 11

So far, we’re digging Zeroes, the latest EP from Good Friends of the Show, Foxtrot & the Get Down.

With that, we’re using today’s Daily Spinn to give you another taste of rock and soul straight from Philadelphia. “Tell It to the Internet” is a biting commentary on the disconnect brought on by modern times, where technology and society’s more insidious consequences have left many feeling isolated and in search of validation — often, in unfulfilling places.

Sonically, the tune includes some beautifully-blended harmonies between co-lead vocalists Colin Budny and Erica Ruiz. Perhaps the biggest highlight of all, however, is the multi-layered horn breakdown that begins right around the 3:00 mark. When touring is a thing again — and, assuming the band rolls through Nashville — I can’t wait to hear how that moment translates live!

Anyway, I just wanted to tell the internet what I think of this one. Check it out as today’s Daily Spinn!
