Scott Marshall to Host 2nd Annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Concert at Steel Pub June 2

Last year, Scott Marshall assembled a group of local musicians for a pediatric cancer benefit at Bethlehem’s Steel Pub.

On June 2, the now-annual event is back with an all-new, multi-genre lineup in the name of helping families of children with cancer.

From 3-11 p.m., Marshall will host the renamed “Concert for the Kids.” The multi-time award-winning singer-songwriter will be joined by a host of guests throughout the afternoon and evening, including soulful Americana band Copper Fields, young standout Kayla Avitabile, award-winning pop jazz artist Cubbage, popular metalheads Mindmaze, and an acoustic performance by members of local cover band Social Call. These musicians will gather to raise funds for two organizations — the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Valley Health Network Children’s Hospital. Also expected to make appearances are Tony and Joel of The Cherrybombs, Glenn Wasserman of The Mississippi Pig Farmers, local bluesman Don Hoffman, and more to be announced.

Admission will be a $5 donation at the door, which enters patrons into a raffle to win a free guitar. Stay tuned to LVU for updates on this and other special events.
