PHOTOS: Out to Lunch Concert Series: Bill Ihling

Originally, instrumental guitar virtuoso Evan Miklosey was slated for the June 1 installment of our Out to Lunch Concert Series. On Thursday afternoon, Evan informed us of an unavoidable conflict, unfortunately having to cancel.

Before he did, though, he graciously lined up a worthy replacement!

We were introduced to folk singer-songwriter Bill Ihling, who came to us from New Jersey to fill in for Evan at Friday’s edition of Out to Lunch. Bill came through, Martin Guitar in-hand, and entertained Greenway lunch patrons on a muggy day with two hours worth of folk standards and other surprises, including a rendition of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” that was intriguing in its delivery, stripping the post-grunge song down to its musical roots.

Enjoy a few photos below, and come on out for the next installment this Friday, June 8 featuring Chelsea Lyn Meyer. The full lineup is available here.
