Jessie G Sings About Missing Her ‘Army Ranger’

Anyone who has ever known the struggle of loving someone serving in an overseas conflict will relate to “Army Ranger,” the new single from Nashville-based country singer Jessie G.

The Oregon-born singer, under the tutelage of country star and frequent collaborator Gretchen Wilson, uses her first single on Redneck Records to show why she was selected as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country on Spotify. The tender tune showcases Jessie G’s powerful voice as she sings about a lover serving overseas, and the anxiety, loneliness, and uncertainty that goes along with not knowing when — or if — she’ll hear from him next.
