The pensive piece of new age pop is about a love unrequited; one which our protagonist wants to help grow, but that the object of her affection seems ready to leave in the dust. Shimmering synths create a bubbling tension throughout “Walk Away,” as Sofia’s lyric contemplates whether it is best to keep trying or to let go.
