Atlanta-based band Cardiac Half released their latest single, “Secret Letters,” on April 26. The tune recounts lost loves, grappling with the double-edged sword of moving past what once was while going forth to pursue a dream. Moody, ambient synths combine with deliberate, mid-tempo rhythms to set a melancholy atmosphere, while frontman Drew Miller’s existential spoken-word verses call Twenty One Pilots’ Tyler Joseph to mind.
