Northern California alt-rock trio Of The Wild is preparing to release their Banshee & Hope EP on October 25.

Judging from the first taste, you should be very excited.

The band is preparing to release “Animals,” the first single from Banshee & Hope, next Friday, August 30. With an anthemic sound that the band cites as “Coldplay meets Arcade Fire,” “Animals” features a steady-marching rhythm and spacious synths that lead into a big, stadium-ready chorus.

If you detect a hint of The Killers in “Animals,” it should be noted that drummer Ronnie Vannucci has served as one of the band’s mentors, giving input on this track and others. On the production end, Nashville’s Andy Freeman helped to bring the vision of Banshee & Hope to life. And, after getting a first taste, we can’t wait to see that vision come to fruition later this fall.
