We’re a little late to the party on Devin Renee‘s latest single, “Deadman Walkin’.”

With that said, we’re glad we’ve finally arrived!

The country singer — who hails from Norco, CA, outside of Los Angeles — released “Deadman Walkin'” in 2019. The sizzling tune features scorching Southern rock guitars and a drum pattern that can best be described as steadfast and slightly ominous. This tension adds weight to a story about moving on from an ex-lover, who has dug too many holes to climb back into the singer’s good graces.
