Let us tell you about an artist bursting onto the scene with a loud, emotionally cathartic debut single.

f1oater. — the new artist project from Nashville-based songwriter Laura Short — released “CARDBOARD” back in October. The raucous pop punk single is an exercise in letting go; lyrically, its protagonist progresses from scrambling for answers following the devastation of a love lost, to an individual who has found confidence and self-forgiveness, as she resolves to carry on, no longer haunted by past mistakes.

The accompanying visuals were directed and produced by Carlos Torres, who does a masterful job capturing the track’s frenetic edge. We also get a taste of what we might expect at a live f1oater show, as she delivers an inspired performance that leaves us hanging on every lyric.
