OUT NOW: Struggle Jennings and Jelly Roll Team Up on ‘Hard to Hate’

Struggle Jennings is preparing to release his forthcoming album, Monte Carlo, this April. In the process, he’s enlisted the help of a trusted friend to deliver a heartfelt message on the record’s third single.

That friend? Genre-bending songwriter and performer Jelly Roll. These two modern outlaws are no strangers to collaborating; together, they’ve released a series of projects — most notably, their series of Waylon & Willie albums — and Jennings got to join Jelly Roll during his sold-out show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena late last year.

That brings us to today, and the release of “Hard to Hate.” A tender, slow-simmering ballad, the new single draws on Jennings’ country roots with its gorgeous steel guitar tones and earnest storytelling, as the pair take turns counting the miles, memories, and miscues that have brought them to where they are today. In the end, they come to a place of appreciation for everything in the here and now — including love, family, and the little things that make life special.

We highly suggest that you take a few minutes out of your day to slow down and enjoy this one. Check out “Hard to Hate” below!
