It was just last week that we announced that our December 2019 Underground Writers Round will be a charitable affair, benefiting and recognizing the efforts of our dear community partners at Helping Our Music Evolve (H.O.M.E.) in Nashville.

When Derek Webb released Stockholm Syndrome in 2009, it was equally experimental and controversial. The album’s urban electronica landscape was a noted departure from Webb’s singer-songwriter roots, while the record found itself under record label censorship due to its unabashed critiques on political and spiritual matters.
On Friday night, Webb celebrated 10 years of his landmark album at The Basement in Nashville, trading in the album’s multi-layered soundscapes for an evening of acoustic interpretations.

It’s almost here! Next Friday, November 15, we’ll head back to Nashville’s historic Douglas Corner Cafe for the next installment of the Underground Writers Round.
We already announced the lineup of six of Nashville’s most prolific up-and-coming songwriters. What we haven’t yet told you, however, is when each of these six songwriters will be performing.

Walking into Nashville’s historic Station Inn is like taking a trip into history. The wood-paneled walls of the world famous listening room are lined with memorabilia in homage to country music’s formative years. All the while, the venue has never strayed from its tradition of hosting some of the best Americana acts the world has to offer.
So, it’s perfectly natural that Kelsey Waldon felt right at home when she came through on tour this past Friday night.
