Bob Giovannetti’s Crystal Clear Musical Magic

Just across the Delaware River in Alpha, New Jersey is a musical man cave of Biblical proportions; a unique space, built from the inside, where you’ll find high-end recording equipment, hand-picked to give all who enter the chance to create their very best sound.

“Every piece of gear in here is hand-picked for quality. I didn’t skimp on a cable,” said our host. “The hardware makes a difference. Certain pieces are just magical.”

What kind of magic is there, however, without an experienced technician at the controls? The man for that job is Bob Giovannetti, long-time musician and, for the past 25 years, the producer behind Crystal Pig Studio.

Fall Preview: Fests and Fundraisers Keep the Scene Moving

There is a myth that exists in the Lehigh Valley, and it goes a little something like this: the music scene dries up when summer ends. As the sun begins to set earlier in the day, so, too, does it set on the active season in our arts and culture community.

That notion could not be further from the truth.

Between festivals, showcases, and our typical haunts, our dance card is already filling up for the fall, and will likely keep us out of the pumpkin patches and absorbing the sights and sounds as the autumn chill permeates the air. Here’s what’s on our radar.

Review: Alpha Zero Three – Ghost

Artist: Alpha Zero Three
Track: Ghost (LISTEN)
Released: June 30, 2016
Genre: Hard Rock

Since making their live debut at The Originals Music Series in May, the guys in Alpha Zero Three have been hard at work in the studio. That much is apparent on the band’s blistering new track, “Ghost.”

Starting off with an impressive metal riff from guitarist Jeff Smith, the pace of “Ghost” stays fast and never relents. Backed by driving rhythms, frontman Monty Leach delivers a powerful vocal that resides somewhere between the passion of Chris Cornell and the melody of Dave Grohl and company.

They’re only a few songs in, and already, Alpha Zero Three has proven themselves a versatile and multi-talented rock band. We can’t wait to see where the road leads next on their rock journey.
