Autoerotica’s “Alone” Featured in UFC Program

It’s been a huge week for Autoerotica. First, they were a part of a big night of rock at The Originals Music Series on Thursday. Then, of course, they made their Quinn Spinn debut yesterday with their new single, “Alone.”

Arguably bigger than a coveted appearance on The Quinn Spinn, however, is this. Autoerotica’s “Alone” is used in the fifth installment of UFC’s “Dana White: Lookin’ For a Fight.”

Seriously, that’s a huge opportunity! Check it out — the song begins at 21:47.

PHOTOS: Site Unknown, Dissension Rising, Autoerotica and Alpha Zero Three at The Originals Music Series

Thursday night at The Originals Music Series was a reminder why those of us on the local music scene do what we do. Not only was it a night showcasing great talent, but it was a night of togetherness. It was a night highlighted by the community that we all continue to create together. Friends, family, other bands, local music fans, and even Neue Regel Radio was in the house to support our local scene here in the Lehigh Valley.

The bands were all on-point, too. Whether it was Site Unknown’s emotionally jarring cover of Purple Rain, Ireland’s Dissension Rising and their hard-hitting rock, Autoerotica’s incredible presence, or the impressive debut of Alpha Zero Three, there was much to enjoy musically throughout the night.

Bonus Interview: Autoerotica at the Gin Mill & Grille

Our series of interviews from Friday night’s amazing night of rock continues with our chat with the guys from Autoerotica. The four-piece band absolutely melted faces at Northampton’s Gin Mill and Grille in support of KILLCODE.

In case you missed it, there are other opportunities to see Autoerotica in the next few weeks. Learn about them by checking out this exclusive interview on Lehigh Valley Underground.

Sunday Thought Series: Something is Happening

I had the opportunity to go out on the scene three nights in a row this week.

On Thursday, I went to The Original Music Series, as I typically do, to see Quadraplay and Aniqatia.

Friday night afforded me my first-ever trip to Northampton’s Gin Mill and Grille for a night of hard rock with KILLCODE, Autoerotica, and Vegafuse.

Then last night, I went back to Phillipsburg’s Warhouse Collective for a night of indie rock from Handheld, VoirVoir and Sing, Bird of Prey.

Through it all – three distinctly different nights of great music, some hard-working, amazing people people and my own opportunity to connect more deeply with our music scene – I have come away with this thought.

Something is happening in the Lehigh Valley, and it’s big.

Those on the Lehigh Valley’s original music scene have waited years and, in some cases, decades for these days to come. These are days where more opportunities continue to arise for artists of any genre in the region. The folks on the scene are realizing that it will take teamwork and commitment to bring all of our efforts to prominence, and it appears that these people have begun to find each other and team up for the greater good.

We’re talented, we’re dedicated, and our voices are getting louder. We’ve made it this far, so let’s keep it up.

PHOTOS: Autoerotica, Vegafuse and KILLCODE Kill It at the Gin Mill & Grille

Last night, we were treated to an absurdly awesome, face-melting night of rock. Local bands Autoerotica and Vegafuse were joined by Long Island hard rockers KILLCODE, rising stars in the hard rock world who find themselves as number one in their genre in New York City on ReverbNation.

Hopefully, these photos do justice to the amazing night we had! Special thanks to all three bands for being super cool to work with, Rich Dushok for hooking us up with interviews (still to come here on LVU), and the good people at the Gin Mill & Grille in Northampton for having a fine rock and roll venue.
