It turned out to be a beautiful night for First Friday in South Bethlehem — and the music was on point, as well!

As a light rain fell over Bethlehem around lunchtime, one of our many great South Bethlehem restaurants helped shelter us from the storm.
We’re putting the finishing touches on this Friday’s All-American Celebration for #LVUFirstFriday, jointly and proudly produced alongside a number of partners including SouthSide Arts District, C.F. Martin & Co., Banko Beverage Co., 610 Underground, and Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub.
With Friday’s forecast calling for an all-out monsoon, we’re being proactive alongside SouthSide Arts District to make sure that all of our #LVUFirstFriday shows will go on.
That means moving all outdoor activities indoors.
The first Friday of July is right around the corner, which means it’s time for South Bethlehem to be overtaken with local, independent music of many varieties.
In our history, we have had the good fortune of a great number of incredible community partners to help us produce and promote events. These partners include the obvious – SouthSide Arts District and ArtsQuest among them. However, there are unsung heroes that, depending on their level of involvement in community programs like #LVUFirstFriday and SouthSide Arts and Music Festival, can very well make or break the success of a program.
A hot and humid evening in Bethlehem was the scene of the biggest, longest, and most eventful installment of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series to date.

A quick note on what you are about to read: this isn’t the final version of our June 2018 Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series lineup, sponsored by SouthSide Arts District and Banko Beverage Co. and set for South Bethlehem on Friday, June 1. We’re still working on finalizing one or two more venues (and their associated acts). So, expect additions to this before too long.
With summer-like temperatures and a diverse, powerful lineup of musicians, the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series rose to another level on Friday.
