Stacy Gabel, a local singer-songwriter who captured a total of four Lehigh Valley Music Awards in March, is the latest performer to be featured in Fig Voices, LVU’s quarterly column in arts and culture magazine Fig Bethlehem.
Earlier this week, the prospect of a possible snowstorm on Friday had us carefully watching the forecast, giving us flashbacks to when we had to cancel the March edition of First Friday.
Fortunately for us, Mother Nature not only showed mercy this time around, but cooperated in a big way by giving us a beautiful spring afternoon for our biggest First Friday since October.
It’s springtime, and a glorious month is just getting underway here at Lehigh Valley Underground. We’ve got a lot going on throughout April, particularly in South Bethlehem, and it all starts this Friday night for the April 2018 installment of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, presented in conjunction with our pals at SouthSide Arts District, Banko Beverage Co. and, this month, Fig Bethlehem!
We’ve already begun rolling out the lineup for the #LVUFirstFriday on Friday, April 6. You already read here that Billy Bauer Band will be returning to Godfrey Daniels with special guest Evan Miklosey. Likewise, we told you yesterday that singer-songwriter Jordan White will be stepping in over at Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub.
We’re still working on the finishing touches to April’s lineup, but we can tell you most of what we have in store.
Two years. More than 1,100 articles. 2,000+ Facebook followers. Hundreds upon hundreds, upon thousands of photos. Independent musicians featured of every genre, near and far.
And that’s just the online stuff.
