After our brief photo editing/Starbucks break, Allentown JazzFest rolled on into the evening at Allentown Art Museum on Saturday with a pair of renowned, world-class jazzmen.
We rolled up to Allentown Art Museum shortly after 2 o’clock this afternoon for the fourth day of Allentown JazzFest. Today promised to be perhaps the biggest day of the festival, with world-class performances taking place within the museum’s many galleries, each providing its own unique backdrop to the art created onstage.
Today, Allentown JazzFest and the Allentown Art Museum team up on today’s programming to provide another diverse musical experience against a unique, visually engaging backdrop — and LVU will be there to capture the magic.
The 2017 edition of Allentown JazzFest started off as only a festival befitting of this genre should: by offering a diverse programming lineup; one where the unexpected is the established norm.
Tonight, Lehigh Valley Underground will be back in the Queen City to kick off Allentown JazzFest 2017. Our partners at Performing Arts Live! Inc. have been working tirelessly for months to bring a diverse, intriguing programming lineup that keeps with the improvisational spirit of jazz.

Saturday night had the feel of festival season, with a balmy, beautiful summer-like night serving as the backdrop for the second and final night of ArtsQuest’s 2017 SouthSide Arts & Music Festival
Lansdale-based singer-songwriter Cubbage – who has been seen performing in the Valley pretty frequently of late – is preparing to release a brand new EP, “Where We Left Off,” on May 11.
This week, we sit down with Bryan Tuk who, in addition to running law practices across Pennsylvania as the namesake behind Tuk Law Offices, is the founder of Performing Arts Live!, Inc., which produces Allentown JazzFest. Bryan shares what’s new and exciting about this year’s festival, taking place May 3-7 in downtown Allentown, PA, and how it all fits into his vision for a more vibrant Allentown.
