What a month we’ve had around here, y’all!

We got to help families in need, we welcomed inspiring guests onto our official podcast, and we got to build community, all while enjoying a bevy of incredible releases from independent artists here, there, and everywhere.

The UMC20 Best of June 2022 is a snapshot of the month that was, but even so, the story wouldn’t be complete without the memories we created throughout the month. Thanks for being part of the ride with us. Let there be many more good times to come this summer!

Crowdfunding Spotlight: Support Catalina’s Next Genre-Bending Adventure!

Catalina’s mesmerizing vocal prowess is showcased through her soulful writing and expansive soundscapes. As a Chilean artist, Catalina has the ability to capture the audience through her Latin-influenced soulful pop sound and live shows. When she takes the stage, Catalina bares her soul to all who are willing to accept it; her playful eye contact, evocative emotions, and ferocious dance moves will draw you in. She achieved great success with her 2019 record, Multifacética, by providing another taste of her eclectic sound, as she shared the dualities of life through music and lyrics, in English and Spanish.

Fast forward to 2022 — one pandemic and a baby later — and Catalina is gearing up to release the collection of songs she wrote in 2020 for more genre-bending music. Learn more about the project below, and click the button to help bring it to life!

UMC20: Packed with Girl Power (June 7, 2022)

In honor of tonight’s very special, very important Safe Haven Family Shelter benefit at LTH Coffee & Social (7113 Charlotte Ave., 6-9 p.m.), we’ve loaded this week’s UMC20 with female-fronted acts!

Not only have we included all eight of tonight’s performers but, of the 20 tracks on this week’s compilation,15 were released by women. That’s a whopping 75 percent of this week’s playlist! Girl power, indeed.

UMC20: The Best of May 2022

It’s been quite a month around these parts!

We enjoyed lots of live performances. We welcomed new submissions from all over the world. We had fun in the process.

Can’t ask for much more than that, right?

We feel good about where this summer is headed, and we’re here for wherever the adventure takes us. Today, it brings us to celebrate the UMC20 Best of May. Hear a sample of what the past month had to offer below!
