Foxtrot & the Get Down, the rising blues rock stars from Philadelphia who performed a stirring set at Musikfest last year, are back with an anthemic effort on their new single, “Down & Out.”

The single begins with a stand-alone, memorable sax line before vocalists Colin Budny and Erica Ruiz take turns delivering verses about persistence through life’s trials. The verses are a fun and catchy blend of jazz, pop, and even a little bit of hip hop, and lead into a big, defiant chorus that would play well in any stadium.
