Back in March, we told you about J.Antonette, the rising country pop singer who had recently released a potential crossover hit with her single, “Something I Said.”

Much has happened in that time. For one thing, she came to Nashville and decided to stay. And, somewhere in the midst of coming to Music City and beginning to write at a superhuman pace, she found time to drop some visuals for the aforementioned single.

The video for “Something I Said” takes place in the desert — a nod, perhaps, to the time J.Antonette has spent out west, and a setting that bolsters the single’s earthy, down-home twang. The singer stands alone in the sun-kissed, barren land. Her body language puts forth the anguish of a love on the rocks, and the thought behind each line she sings adds to an internal monologue seemingly aimed at pinpointing the moment her relationship turned sour.
