LISTEN: L.E.Y.’s “Fool” Runs the Gauntlet of Post-Relationship Anguish

Sometimes, being a hopeless romantic can carry an insidious price.

That is the theme explored on “Fool,” the new single from Nashville-based producer and songwriter L.E.Y. The Belmont University student’s latest effort starts off as a meek, vulnerable ballad — one which carries the initial feelings of shock that follow a relationship’s end.

From there, “Fool” swells into a grandiose outpouring of anguish — marked by robust vocals, stormy synths, and wailing guitars — before leaving us with a feeling of numb devastation at the end.
