Folks, it looks like we’re coming to the end of our magical Musikfest journey.
We’ve had a great time out there in Bethlehem over the past 10 days, and we look forward to one more night making our way through Christmas City to capture as much of the action as we can.

Last year, I didn’t have the chance to attend Touchstone Theatre’s Jakopa Punch Bowl. Lisa filled in for me and did a fantastic job, but I was bummed that I couldn’t make it, because it sounded like an interesting event and a great time.
I was right. Last night’s installment of the event was nothing short of fantastic.
After a successful kick-off last year, Touchstone Theatre presents its second concert fundraiser Jakopa’s Punch Bowl on Friday from 7-10 p.m. at the Charles A. Brown Ice House. This Mardi Gras-themed evening of eclectic music by three local bands, New Orleans-style lite fare, and all-you-can-drink beer and wine supports upcoming original works at Touchstone, including the April premiere of Dictators for Dummies.
Legend has it that because a rodent saw his shadow last week, we have six more weeks of winter.
Let’s be honest – it’s probably not warming up anytime soon regardless, but at least our music scene is bringing the heat with these…
A little bit of rain on Friday couldn’t stop the folks at Touchstone Theatre from putting on their long-awaited Jakopa’s Punch Processional.
After months of preparation (which included a spirited fundraiser along the way), Jakopa’s Punch is venturing outside of Touchstone Theatre’s confines this weekend with a performance that promises something for everyone.
On Saturday night, Mardi Gras came to Bethlehem.
As we noted in this week’s Can’t-Miss Shows post, Jakopa’s Punch Bowl sounds like a jolly good time at The Ice House on Saturday night. Jakopa’s Punch, The Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman, and The Charts Funk Band are throwing a fundraiser — complete with king cake, a cup of jambalaya, a cold beer, and an evening of eclectic music — in support of Touchstone Theatre’s upcoming street theatre spectacle – The Jakopa’s Punch Processional.
We wanted to learn more, so we reached out to Lisa and JP Jordan at Touchstone Theatre, who filled us in.
We’re still coming down from the high of the First Annual Lehigh Valley Underground Winter Jamboree, and we can’t wait to follow it up by hitting the scene once again this week!
