Top o’ the mornin’ to ya!
It’s St. Patrick’s week, and the Lehigh Valley is feeling quite festive, with live music and community celebrations abound throughout the region.

A couple weeks ago, we announced that Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub was teaming with SouthSide Arts District to ensure that Bethlehem’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade tradition lived on into 2018.
Now, we have some details of what to expect!
It’s one of the biggest weeks of the year on our local music scene. On Sunday, the biggest collection of musicians, music supporters, and other prominent figures from our community will all be in one room for the 19th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards.

Lehigh Valley with Love is bringing more laughter to The Ice House on Thursday, March 1 – the first event in a new, four-part series of comedy fundraisers.
Dark clouds were moving into Bethlehem around the time that I was able to get ready to head down for the second Friday of Musikfest. My original plan was to walk straight down to the Red Stag Pub Liederplatz stage to catch the end of Dina Hall’s set, and work the North Side before heading over to The Ice House for Night 1 of the Lehigh Valley with Love Comedyplatz at 8:45.
Then, as I walked out the door, the skies opened up, thwarting my plans to walk down, camera in tow.
Torrential rain shut down the outdoor portion of the 10-day Musikfest party a little early last night. Today, however, is a new day. Although forecasts suggest that we should keep an eye on the sky, we’re still planning on having ourselves a time on the festival’s final Saturday.
There’s something special about a weekend at Musikfest. Indeed, such a phenomenon only takes place twice a year, and creates quite a buzz of summertime love and happiness for all who encounter it.
After this weekend, you’ll have to wait 51 weeks to experience it again. So, there’s no time like the present – let’s not miss out on a good time!
This year, Musikfest will feature a dash of laughter at the Charles A. Brown Ice House, as it teams up with Lehigh Valley with Love on the first official Lehigh Valley with Love Comedyplatz. The two-day showcase, taking place on August 11-12, will give 30 comics from New York, Philadelphia, and the Greater Lehigh Valley the opportunity to showcase their material at the historic venue.

Back in March, we told you that Lehigh Valley With Love was accepting submissions for its 2017 Comedy Festival. While that’s still the case, we owe you an update: the festival is so nice, that they’re doing it twice — and as an official part of Musikfest 2017.
Lehigh Valley With Love, the local satire blog and philanthropic multimedia company based in Bethlehem, is gearing up for its 2017 Comedy Festival in conjunction with Never Again Radio. The only thing missing… is the comics.
