Previewing a New Live Music Experience

This Saturday, we take a major step toward re-defining the live music ecosystem in Nashville, as we present our first new NashLive! experience at Helping Our Music Evolve. This lineup features emerging artists Alexis Donn, The Healers (Foundation Mecca and Lord Goldie), and ARREIS. These artists have the opportunity to curate their unique big-stage experience in an intimate setting, in front of a studio audience and with first-class content production.

We had the entire lineup on The Quinn Spinn for a roundtable discussion about the event, why independent artists need unique opportunities to shine, and how this impacts the overall musical landscape in Nashville.

Progress Happens ‘Little by Little’

I had the chance to visit Live Nation headquarters in Nashville for a listening party with rising country artist Sadie Bass. Of the songs she performed, her ballad of perseverance, “Little by Little,” holds some key lessons for those on the creative journey.

Diving Into Purpose (ft. Jazzmin Mitchell)

Last month, we recorded a series of Quick Spinn editions of The Quinn Spinn at Helping Our Music Evolve. These short, (mostly) 10-15 minute episodes highlighted creatives in their element, as they shared their current stages of the journey.

Jazzmin Mitchell was first to be interviewed. The co-director of Nashville-based performance art collective, Free Fyre, Jazzmin sat down to talk about her work with the youth in the Nashville community, as well as her own upcoming plans to release music for the first time ever.

WrestleMania Rumor Mill and Other Tomfoolery (Quinn Spinn OG Fam Edition)

Scotty Rock and JD are back for this month’s OG Family installment of The Quinn Spinn. Today, we talk about the build (so far) to WrestleMania 40, including the return of The Rock (not “Dwayne Cena”), the evolution of Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, and what the current dynamics mean for the rest of the members of The Bloodline. Oh, and we come up with a way for R-Truth to leave WrestleMania 40 as WWE Undisputed Champion.

This episode is more than wrestling. For starters, a 200 foot radio tower got stolen in Alabama, Scotty bought a house (in between a number of ailments), and The Quinn got roughed up during a flag football game in which he wasn’t even a participant. These are eventful times!

Championship Football and 2024 Intentions

We get 2024’s first visit with a member of the OG Quinn Spinn family this week, as JD joins the show. We chat about the forthcoming NFL conference championship matchups (Chiefs vs. Ravens, Lions vs. 49ers) and give our predictions.

We also chat about our intentions for the New Year, including the things we’re bringing into 2024, and those we’re leaving behind us in 2023.

We have all of that, plus Feelin’ Good, Something for Your Ears, and a Stupid News in honor(?) of a flu-ridden Scotty Rock.
