It had been four years since Joe Janci’s last release, but his latest, “Bordertown Blues,” is a full-length soft rock album that is easy on the ears and well worth the wait.

Kayla Avitabile does it again, with a truly enjoyable three-song EP.
Timoteo (Tim Gehring) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Allentown area. His latest, “The Weight of the World,” was released on June 25, an is the most recent of several self-produced, self-recorded efforts from the one-man band, who records all of the instruments and vocals on the four-song EP.

There is a lot happening in the Lehigh Valley music scene over the course of the next two weeks. With the amazing lineup for LVU’s First Friday Concert Series and the start of Musikfest only a day away, there will be plenty to see, hear and talk about in the days ahead.
In addition to hosting Julie Williams during the August 2018 edition of #LVUFirstFriday, our friends and collaborators at Domaci will keep the party going on weekends, for as long as Musikfest is in town.
Andrew Dunn’s “The House Above The Factory” is a magical journey through life’s ups and downs, told in a way only Andrew Dunn can. The title track tells the story of life-changing events that alter the plans you laid when settling in to your first house, and how a house becomes a home.
This is more of an album “preview” than an album review. Gordon Thomas Ward has been sharing stories through song for many years, throughout the Valley and beyond.
It turned out to be a beautiful night for First Friday in South Bethlehem — and the music was on point, as well!
