Lehigh Valley with Love to Commemorate 10th Anniversary with ‘Best Of’ Show at SteelStacks

Our dear friends at Lehigh Valley with Love have been around a minute. Actually, they’ve been around for however many minutes go into 10 years. According to Rent, that’s 525,600 times ten, plus some extra to account for at least a couple of leap years in there. That’s literally millions of minutes, people.

At any rate, George Wacker and Co. have a decade’s worth of serving up the Valley’s most bizarre happenings to celebrate, and they’ll be doing that in style on Thursday, June 14 at SteelStacks.

Mark your calendars for a one-of-a-kind musical collaboration as southern raconteur Paul Thorn and his five-piece band team up with five-time GRAMMY-winning gospel legends, Blind Boys of Alabama as co-headliners of the 2018 Levitt National Tour.

Now in its fourth year and created to celebrate the collective impact of the Levitt network of music venues in communities across the country, the 2018 Levitt National Tour will stop in at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks in Bethlehem on Friday, June 1.

‘The Song of Bethlehem’ Film Premieres at SteelStacks March 18

Thirty years ago, as a student at Syracuse University, Chicago native and aspiring musician Ken Goldstein visited the Buffalo area and got a glimpse of how the closing of the local steel mill in Lackawanna, N.Y. put thousands out of work and gutted a community. In the ensuing days, he penned a song, “Bethlehem Steel,” that he’s carried with him throughout his career.

LVMA19 Week: The Quinn Spinn’s Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preview

The 19th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards ceremony takes place this Sunday at 4 p.m. at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, with the official Lehigh Valley Underground Preshow beginning in the ArtsQuest Center’s first floor lobby at 3 p.m.

Tune in for music from LVMA19 nominees. Plus, The Quinn shares an LVMA-related Somethin’ Good, tells you what you can expect before the LVMAs at the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series this Friday in South Bethlehem, and gives a little advice on how to conduct oneself before, during, and after the LVMAs have been distributed.
