Who said an open mic night has to cater to just one genre — or, just to music?
It’s the most wonderful time of the month! This Friday, February 2, we have the always-epic Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series taking place at multiple venues throughout South Bethlehem.
However, First Friday always has so much more than music awaiting you! That is especially the case this month, when a Mardi Crawl will assist us in taking over South Bethlehem, courtesy of our community partners at SouthSide Arts District and Banko Beverage Co.
With that, we’ve borrowed the full list of this month’s “Fat Friday” happenings on the South Side from our splendid community partners, just to give you an idea of what Cajun delights await!

Easton’s Riverside Festival of the Arts takes place this weekend, September 16 and 17, at Scott and Riverside Parks along the Delaware and Lehigh River meeting in Easton. The festival “celebrates the colorful and creative spirit of Easton” by providing free visual, literary, and performing arts programming throughout the weekend.
Below, we have a full itinerary for both parks throughout the weekend. Those looking for more updates and information can find it here on Facebook.
South Bethlehem will come to life this Friday, September 1 for First Friday. Here’s where you can join us this First Friday to be a part of the new, fresh monthly celebration of culture, music, and art:
Over the next two weeks, potentially more than one million visitors to Bethlehem will have the opportunity to get their hands on a plastic mug featuring the artwork of local mixed medium artist Bobby Zeik, a Banana Factory resident artist and the man behind the 2017 Musikfest poster.
