Saturday afternoon and night, a group of musicians led by singer-songwriter Scott Marshall once again came to South Bethlehem’s Steel Pub in the name of pediatric cancer awareness.
Last year, Scott Marshall assembled a group of local musicians for a pediatric cancer benefit at Bethlehem’s Steel Pub.
On June 2, the now-annual event is back with an all-new, multi-genre lineup in the name of helping families of children with cancer.
We have received the full lineup for Scott Marshall’s Breakaway from Pediatric Cancer benefit, taking place this Saturday, June 3 at South Bethlehem’s Steel Pub.
We’re still coming down from the high of the First Annual Lehigh Valley Underground Winter Jamboree, and we can’t wait to follow it up by hitting the scene once again this week!
Fortunately, we have plenty of options in front of us, like these…
Let’s start a new tradition around here on the first Monday of the year: In addition to providing you with the Can’t-Miss Shows of the Week, as we do every Monday, let’s take a longer look at our calendar to, perhaps, some Can’t-Miss Shows of the Year.
As previously reported by Lehigh Valley Underground, Allentown’s Maingate Nightclub will host The Benefit for Scott Marshall on Sunday, February 19 from 1-6 p.m. Today, we update you to let you know that tickets are now available.
During a career that spans more than 20 years and has resulted in upwards of 50 Lehigh Valley Music Award nominations, Scott Marshall has given an immeasurable amount to the Valley’s music scene and community at large. Now, the community Marshall has served wants to assist the singer-songwriter in his time of need.
To me, Sunday’s incredible Lehigh Valley Music Awards Rock Showcase at Musikfest’s Plaza Tropical reinforced a few things that I already knew:
Personally, it was a blast to be on-hand for four great, local bands like Another Day Dawns, Doubting Thoma$, The Cherrybombs, and Social Call. All four bands rocked so hard and put on such a great show that, in all honestly, it’s hard to say which one was my favorite. It was an excellent night of rock across the board.
I also have to thank the GLVMA and, of course, ArtsQuest for the opportunity to introduce each of the bands and represent Lehigh Valley Underground at the event. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of Musikfest in this way, and I look forward to working with both organizations again in the not-too-distant future.
Of course, since I was there all night, I couldn’t help but to bring my camera and get some photos. So, you get some bonus shots of the action!
