Lehigh Valley Underground is teaming with legendary South Bethlehem listening room Godfrey Daniels on #GoUnderground at Godfrey’s, a collaborative effort intended to shine the folk venue’s prestigious spotlight on many of our region’s rising stars.
November’s edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series featured our most diverse lineup yet. Performances from 10 artists across eight venues spanned more genres than ever, including rock, blues, hip hop, reggae, and even showtunes.
A couple weeks prior to the release of their debut, six-track demo, Lehigh Valley-based post-hardcore/emo band bloodmoon has given its fans another teaser by making second single, “Talk,” available on its Bandcamp page.
Sorry. We just couldn’t resist the irony that we were just behind the 8-ball enough to bring you a video for a song titled “Late October” on November 1.
We had some intriguing nominations come through in the preliminary period of the first-ever Lehigh Valley Underground Fan’s Choice Awards. We appreciate everyone who has participated so far, and we thank you for your input.
But now, it gets real.

With their latest EP “Still,” Ambler-based indie pop duo Tentative Plans has a collection of six mostly-mellow tunes which address the changes and challenges of love.
Fun fact: I’ve been following Philadelphia’s Foxtrot & the Get Down for years. We originally crossed paths back in 2014, in the old days of The Quinn Spinn. We’d play their tunes on the show and, as a matter of fact, they even trekked all the way to North Jersey that June, where we were based at the time, to perform at an American Cancer Society benefit that we produced called “Entertainment For a Cure.”
Our friend Richie Ares, who many of you out on the scene know and love as theLionhearted, invited us to take part in Thursday night’s debut show at The Parlor, a new house show venue in Bethlehem.
We’re glad we did — and we’ll definitely be heading there again!
