Tonight, Lehigh Valley Underground will be back in the Queen City to kick off Allentown JazzFest 2017. Our partners at Performing Arts Live! Inc. have been working tirelessly for months to bring a diverse, intriguing programming lineup that keeps with the improvisational spirit of jazz.
There are many things to look forward to over the course of the next five days. We’ve picked a few that you’ll definitely want to check out.
We’re going to get right out in front and say it: Allentown JazzFest as a whole is a Can’t-Miss Show this week, and that’s where we’ll be spending a good portion of our time. Check our partners’ official website for full lineup details and more, and we’ll check in a bit later this week with what we’re watching for on our end.

Our community partners at Allentown JazzFest continue to sweeten the pot for anyone looking to attend next week’s festival.
This week, we sit down with Bryan Tuk who, in addition to running law practices across Pennsylvania as the namesake behind Tuk Law Offices, is the founder of Performing Arts Live!, Inc., which produces Allentown JazzFest. Bryan shares what’s new and exciting about this year’s festival, taking place May 3-7 in downtown Allentown, PA, and how it all fits into his vision for a more vibrant Allentown.

Two bands made their Originals Music Series debut on Thursday night in the form of progressive instrumental trio The Cozy and alt-rockers Glue Factory.

You can tell that Allentown JazzFest is getting close when Preview Night rolls around. Thursday night, got their first taste of this year’s bold new artwork and enjoyed live music inside of the festival’s newest — and perhaps most interesting — performance space.
Our friends at The Originals Music Series are mixing things up this evening inside of Chicago Restaurant’s Club Gravity, bringing two bands to the stage who are Originals first-timers.
