We kicked off our 2018 with a bang at SteelStacks in January, when we, three musical acts, and more than 100 of our closest friends congregated inside the ArtsQuest Center’s Blast Furnace Room for the Lehigh Valley Underground 2nd Birthday Spectacular.

#BuildingBetter: The Venue’s Role

In our history, we have had the good fortune of a great number of incredible community partners to help us produce and promote events. These partners include the obvious – SouthSide Arts District and ArtsQuest among them. However, there are unsung heroes that, depending on their level of involvement in community programs like #LVUFirstFriday and SouthSide Arts and Music Festival, can very well make or break the success of a program.

Musikfest Begins Rollout of 35th Anniversary Edition Lineup

Jason Mraz, Brantley Gilbert, Jim Gaffigan, Kesha, Marc Broussard, Colony House, Marshall Crenshaw, Squirrel Nut Zippers, the Original Wailers, We are Scientists and !!! are among the nearly 400 performers taking the stage as part of the 35th edition of Musikfest, the nation’s largest free-admission music festival. The event, set for Aug. 3-12 in Bethlehem, Pa., will feature music at 16 of its 18 total venues, with more than 500 free music and art performances during its 10-day run.
