Our May-riffic weekend continued into Sunday, with variety being the theme of the day. Sunday’s lineup ran the gamut of rock and roll, providing a little something for everyone.
If you’re like us, you’re probably suuuuuuuuper excited for this weekend’s May-riffic Music Festival at American Spirits Roadhouse.
Like, so excited that you can hardly contain yourself, and you just want the week to hurry up and end already so you can get to Saturday. You might even sound something like, “I can’t take another minute of this! OH, THE HUMANITY! WHEN WILL THIS WEEK FINALLY END?!”
Sorry, we got a little carried away. Case of the Mondays, perhaps?
On Monday, June 5, The Quinn Spinn — the Official Podcast of Lehigh Valley Underground — will be a podcast no more when it makes its live debut on WLVU: The Sound of The Underground.
Recently, we told you about an all-day event Scott Marshall is hosting at Bethlehem’s Steel Pub on Saturday, June 3 for the sake of pediatric cancer awareness.
Now, Allentown will get a taste of the action, courtesy of Rocking the Valley.
Thursday night, we stepped over to Allentown for two bands that were entirely new to us — and immediately, we were glad to get acquainted!
Carter Lansing’s contributions to the Valley’s music scene are plentiful. In addition to his role as singer-songwriter of country rock outfit Acoustic Kitty Project, Carter is one of the region’s most prominent music volunteers and minds. We are honored to have him join us for the First Annual Lehigh Valley Underground Winter Jamboree, taking place Friday, February 10 at American Spirits Roadhouse.
Before that all goes down, Carter was kind enough to answer a few questions.
While the music community prepares to give back to Scott Marshall in his time of need this February, the country rocker has rolled right along his usual path, staying in the charitable spirit by performing yet another benefit this past Saturday night.

One by one, Lehigh Valley Underground will feature the local artists opening for Candlebox’s Brian Quinn at American Spirits Roadhouse’s Acoustic Storytellers Night on Thursday, December 1.
First up is country rocker Paul Knakk, a Bethlehem-based singer-songwriter with a growing list of accomplishments to go along with his “Knakk” for writing a great hook.
