The Pennsylvania Music Preservation Society (PAMPS) will announce details of its collaboration and hex sign initiative with the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at a news conference on Friday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Lehigh Valley Road Runner Clubhouse in the Lehigh Parkway Park.
Bluegrass sensations The Infamous Stringdusters, indie rockers Delta Rae, folk singer-songwriter Dar Williams, popular Talking Heads Tribute “Start Making Sense,” and blues guitarist Mr. Sipp highlight the 2018 SouthSide Arts & Music Festival, taking place April 20-21 in Bethlehem. The festival, presented by Capital BlueCross, offers attendees a dynamic mix of music and art experiences, and is designed to shine the spotlight on Bethlehem’s SouthSide Arts District. Last month, LAUNCH Music Conference & Festival announced that its 2018 edition — the tenth in its history — will take place from April 12-15, 2018 in downtown Lancaster, PA.

Sunday was an overcast day, but the rains held off long enough for people to come in droves for the second day of the sixth annual PA Bacon Fest, a weekend-long celebration of all things pork in and around Easton’s Centre Square.
PA Bacon Fest has announced its highly-anticipated live music lineup for this year’s festival, which will take place in downtown Easton this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4-5, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Many local favorites are slated to play the festival, a celebration of nature’s true candy: bacon. While this lineup is not 100 percent complete, it’s most of the way there, and should give you an idea of what to expect.

If you’re heading to Musikfest — or, heading back to Musikfest — this weekend, you might notice a big, inflatable structure. One that appears palatial in its stature, and looks like it would be fun to venture inside.
A rainy Monday was no match for the mighty Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway, who kicked off the Americaplatz stage on Day 4 of Musikfest.
The local country rockstar and his band of brothers brought a soulful, spirited performance to Musikfest rooted in the band’s four tenets: faith, hope, music, and love. Ever the storyteller, Marshall shared the tales behind the tunes, drawing in and engaging the audience through popular originals like “‘Shine” and “Hope on the Cross.”
