Exactly one year after welcoming Another Day Dawns, Doubting Thoma$, The Cherrybombs, and Social Call to rock the Plaza Tropical stage at Musikfest, the Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association and Lehigh Valley Underground will team up once again.
And this time, we’re goin’ country. And roots, of course.
On May 19-20, The Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association will preview the upcoming Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks season – and will employ the talents of Lehigh Valley Music Award winners to do it.

On Sunday, the Valley’s stars came out in droves to celebrate local music at the 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards. While there, they enjoyed an extravaganza that featured breathtaking performances, crisp production, and another record-breaking night for local singer-songwriter Scott Marshall.
After months of anticipation, the 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards are today. Beginning at 3 p.m. with the Lehigh Valley Underground Preshow, the local music scene will be out in full force at South Bethlehem’s ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks to celebrate the accomplishments of all.
We’re just a little excited (in case you couldn’t tell), and we’re interested to see how things unfold this afternoon. Having said that, we’ll hold ourselves over until then by making our best guesses. Here’s what we think will happen!
As I’ve noted before here at LVU, I first came back to the Lehigh Valley in August of 2014, working as seasonal event staff at Musikfest. Since then, I’ve been a year-rounder at ArtsQuest; a role which has opened virtually every door I’ve had here since returning to Bethlehem that summer after a four-year hiatus.
This Sunday, the 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards will take place at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. This year’s ceremony promises to be a big day; one meant to celebrate the accomplishments of the people on our local music scene.
Every year, the Lehigh Valley Music Awards names a Community Youth Recipient to be honored at its annual ceremony. This portion of the afternoon highlights a local child with a medical condition, in order to bring support and awareness to their cause.
This year, the Community Youth Recipient will rock!
There’s still almost a week to go until the 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards Ceremony takes place at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, but there is already a buzz in the air.
