Some might know George Hrab as the drummer who provides the backbone for Philadelphia Funk Authority, one of the most renowned and versatile party bands this side of the Mississippi. Others may know him as the host of the Geologic Podcast, a true variety show which celebrates its 500th episode this Saturday; a 500-minute extravaganza to be broadcast on Facebook Live.
On Sunday, March 5th, those in attendance at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards will know George Hrab for one more reason: he will be honored as a 20 Year Veteran of our local music scene.
As announced last week, Serene Green will perform during the Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preshow, presented by Lehigh Valley Underground at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks on Sunday, March 5.
We wanted to get to know the band a bit better, so we asked a few questions, which they were kind enough to answer for us. Check it out!
Last week, we announced that Serene Green would be joining us for the Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preshow, to be presented by Lehigh Valley Underground at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks on Sunday, March 5.
Now, we know the performers for the ceremony itself.
The 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preshow, presented by Lehigh Valley Underground, just got infused with a shot of Pennsylvania bluegrass.
Diesel Martini, Julia Sommer, Lee Delray, Shawn Cav Ensemble, Leah Marie Fuls, and The Swing Time Dolls are all new, emerging artists who have taken the music scene by storm over the past year.
Now, one of them will go home from the Lehigh Valley Music Awards with a bit of extra hardware.
We were excited enough just to learn that we were nominated for eight Lehigh Valley Music Awards. We also can’t wait to be in attendance to see who comes away with honors at the LVMAs this March.
We’re so pumped, in fact, that we’ve decided to get the party started a bit early. Say, an hour early…

Lehigh Valley Underground is excited to announce that it has received a total of eight Lehigh Valley Music Awards nominations in recognition of its work to raise awareness of the local music scene in eastern Pennsylvania, western New Jersey, and beyond.
While the music community prepares to give back to Scott Marshall in his time of need this February, the country rocker has rolled right along his usual path, staying in the charitable spirit by performing yet another benefit this past Saturday night.
