LVU Named Official Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preshow Sponsor
We had so much fun hosting the Lehigh Valley Music Awards Preshow at SteelStacks last year that we’re doing it again!

On Tuesday night, we returned to Allentown’s Jetport Bar & Lounge after a lengthy absence to catch our first glimpse of an emerging artist.
On Sunday, Rocking the Valley held a benefit for the recently-hospitalized Tommy Zito, a locally renowned musician and entertainer. The event became so big that it outgrew the internet radio station’s usual haunt of the Jetport Bar & Lounge.
Fortunately, an adjacent ballroom inside of the connected Days Inn hotel was available, providing the perfect space for a packed house and an inspired evening of local music.
It’s going to be a big weekend out there. As you can see below, five of our six Can’t-Miss Shows of the Week happen between Friday and Sunday.
We’re going to be busy and need some extra caffeine, but it will be a ton of fun! Let’s go!

Due to an overwhelming response to Rocking the Valley’s call for performers for its Aug. 27 Tommy Zito benefit, the organization has indicated that the evening’s bill is now complete by announcing the event’s full lineup.
The local music community is coming together for renowned local entertainer Tommy Zito, who was recently admitted to a hospital after falling ill. A GoFundMe page launched on Friday already has more than $1,200 toward its $25,000 goal to support Tommy and his wife, Jan, as the musician continues to receive treatment.
This week, I’m on a week-long “staycation” from the day job, which has presented me with an opportunity to catch up on sleep and get all of LVU’s pre-Musikfest ducks in a row before things get extra wacky around here.
It also made Tuesday night as good a night as any to hit the scene… so, that’s what I did.
July looks to be finishing strong. As we inch closer to Bethlehem’s annual, ten-day party, there’s plenty going on around the Valley to get you warmed up, concluding with another special event put on by LVU and American Spirits Roadhouse.
Enjoy, if you will, another heapin’ helpin’ of…
Our friends at Rocking the Valley hosted an easygoing Sunday evening of folk music Sunday evening at the newly-restored Camel’s Hump Farm, located at 1311 Santee Mill Rd. in Bethlehem.
A beautiful day in South Bethlehem, just to the west of the Bethlehem Steel Blast Furnaces, provided a picture perfect atmosphere for Rock & Breakaway from Pediatric Cancer, a benefit organized at The Steel Pub by local singer-songwriter Scott Marshall in conjunction with Lehigh Valley Underground, the Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association, and Rocking the Valley.
