Friday night at Chicago Restaurant and Club Gravity was a banner night for the Lehigh Valley music scene, as The Fyre and Ice Show booked a stellar rock and roll lineup to serve as the centerpiece of its Third Annual Lehigh Valley Musicians Social.
Almost two years ago, I was sitting in my seat at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, waiting to see a band that had very quickly grown on me after first seeing them perform in 2007. They were celebrating their 15th anniversary together as a band, as well as their new album, titled “6.”
Not many bands in the Lehigh Valley can hold that title of longevity, especially when they are still writing new music, and still playing shows.
The Quinn Spinn teamed up with Ninja from The Fyre & Ice Show to bring you exclusive red carpet interviews from the 18th Annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards, which took place Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA.
The Fyre & Ice Show, which airs every Tuesday night from 8-10 p.m. on Neue Regel Radio, will be hosting another special “Locals Only” edition of the program on Tuesday, March 7.
Those inside Chicago Restaurant’s Club Gravity on Thursday night were treated to not one, but two sets from The Beautiful Distortion.
By now, you know that we’re heading to American Spirits Roadhouse on February 10 for the First Annual Lehigh Valley Underground Winter Jamboree.
Whenever Copper Fields and Mo7s are involved, you know you’re in for a night of high quality performances. That was no different last night at The Originals Music Series, where each band played an hour and 20 minute set inside Chicago Restaurant’s Club Gravity.
For nearly two years, Allentown’s Chicago Restaurant has been home to weekly original music as part of The Originals Music Series, presented by The Fyre & Ice Show.
On Friday, January 6, The Originals Music Series will celebrate this milestone in style – and will call on the help of good, reliable friends to rock the joint.
Welcome to the world of Ninja.
Being heavily involved in the local music scene for more 11 years in multiple capacities, I have always wanted to know what makes a musician “tick.” I am always engaging musicians in conversations to get their feedback and thoughts on things important to them.
Because I always receive great feedback during these conversations, I decided to start posting questions on my Facebook page to engage musicians from all over the world, in addition to those at the local level. This has been a valuable tool for not just me, but for those musicians, as well.
This is why Ninjapedia was brought to Lehigh Valley Underground: to educate our music scene based on input from our peers. I hope you enjoy the answers to these questions as much as I do.
Today’s question is:
What does “support your local music scene” mean to you?
