Whenever Copper Fields and Mo7s are involved, you know you’re in for a night of high quality performances. That was no different last night at The Originals Music Series, where each band played an hour and 20 minute set inside Chicago Restaurant’s Club Gravity.
The Originals Music Series, operating on a bi-weekly schedule for the winter months, returns to Chicago Restaurant in Allentown with a great Thursday night lineup.
The first Friday of 2017 marked a celebration two years in the making.
On January 7, 2016, first impressions and fresh starts hung in the cold winter air as I packed my car. I didn’t have a whole lot to bring with me – just some Quinn Spinn shirts from our previous run, a laptop, and my brand new, never-before-publicly-unveiled Lehigh Valley Underground banner. Launch Day was still a week and a half away, but that didn’t matter. I was excited. This time was different.
Thursday marked the 2016 conclusion of The Originals Music Series, and the Fyre & Ice Show-sponsored showcase went out with a (head)bang, featuring Next to None and Another Day Dawns on a night of high-energy, aggressive tunes.
The arctic winds are expected to roll into our region this week. However, those of us on the Lehigh Valley music scene are a resilient bunch, and we won’t let it stop us from going outside.
Especially not, when you consider these…
Had enough turkey, shopping, and football over the past week? Perhaps what you need now is live music to enchant your life once more.
Fortunately, there’s rarely, if ever, a shortage of that around these parts. Here we go!
For nearly two years, Allentown’s Chicago Restaurant has been home to weekly original music as part of The Originals Music Series, presented by The Fyre & Ice Show.
On Friday, January 6, The Originals Music Series will celebrate this milestone in style – and will call on the help of good, reliable friends to rock the joint.
Welcome to the world of Ninja.
Being heavily involved in the local music scene for more 11 years in multiple capacities, I have always wanted to know what makes a musician “tick.” I am always engaging musicians in conversations to get their feedback and thoughts on things important to them.
Because I always receive great feedback during these conversations, I decided to start posting questions on my Facebook page to engage musicians from all over the world, in addition to those at the local level. This has been a valuable tool for not just me, but for those musicians, as well.
This is why Ninjapedia was brought to Lehigh Valley Underground: to educate our music scene based on input from our peers. I hope you enjoy the answers to these questions as much as I do.
Today’s question is:
What does “support your local music scene” mean to you?
