Best of Nashville Hip Hop

A coalition of influential music communities will join forces to celebrate Music City’s rich hip hop culture, with a live stream powered by Live from the 615.

Best of Nashville Hip Hop will stream to Facebook Live on Friday, April 30 at 6:15 p.m. CT. This unique broadcast will feature performances from 11 of Nashville’s most notable hip hop artists, including Byron Juane, Nate Rose, Daisha McBride, Chuck Indigo, Jordan XX, $hrames, 2’Live Bre, TriplePlay Squeek, S-Wrap, and Lord Goldie, plus a special guest performance from Derek Minor, who will perform emcee duties during the event. Each of these artists will be supported by live instrumentation from Muja.

The event will broadcast live from Helping Our Music Evolve in East Nashville, with additional support from sponsors Guidance Whiskey and Sound Royalties, as well as community partners including Underground Music Collective, Nashville Is Not Just Country Music, Reflection Music Group, Third Eye & Co., 2 Ls On A Cloud, and Do615. ‘Cashvillians’ HERU HERU Bring Hip Hop Back to Its Roots

HERU HERU’s Ah-Deli and Foundation Mecca find themselves on a mission. Inspired by the golden era and the legends who paved the way, they strive to make room for lyricism in the modern hip hop landscape.

In December, they released their Cashvillians EP. With this latest effort, it seems that they’re well on their way toward accomplishing their mission.
