Bands of Nashville: Are You Prepared to Do Battle?

On Wednesday, June 12, throw down the gauntlet and test your musical mettle against Music City’s best!

Our dear friend ARREIS — whom, you may have heard, is a part of this epic experience we’re presenting on April 26 — is teaming up with Local Nation (home of Homegrown Chicago) on the Nashville Battle of the Bands.

The Battle will begin Wednesday, June 12 at The End (2219 Elliston Place, Nashville), and will feature five artists of all genres performing 15-minute sets. A team of judges will determine a winner, who will compete in the final round later this fall.

UMC is proud to be the Official Media Partner of the Nashville Battle of the Bands. And, we’ve decided, we’ll be contributing a one-on-one interview on our Official Podcast, The Quinn Spinn, for the winner of the competition. Other prizes (so far) include:

  • A set time at a Local Nation festival.
  • A detailed Branding and Release Strategy Outline by Not Only Noise Entertainment.
  • Limited Merch Run & Store Set-Up Consultation through Screened Threads.
  • A 3-Hour Slot at Garden Groove Studio for Content Creation.

Previewing a New Live Music Experience

This Saturday, we take a major step toward re-defining the live music ecosystem in Nashville, as we present our first new NashLive! experience at Helping Our Music Evolve. This lineup features emerging artists Alexis Donn, The Healers (Foundation Mecca and Lord Goldie), and ARREIS. These artists have the opportunity to curate their unique big-stage experience in an intimate setting, in front of a studio audience and with first-class content production.

We had the entire lineup on The Quinn Spinn for a roundtable discussion about the event, why independent artists need unique opportunities to shine, and how this impacts the overall musical landscape in Nashville.

Building Community and Exploring our ‘Vices’: A Conversation with ARREIS

ARREIS is a dynamic dark pop artist and Chicago native based in Nashville; one who strives to make genuine connections and build community through her music. Her new album, Vices, is a nine-track conceptual offering that stemmed from religious trauma, and takes complex themes and present them to her audience in accessible, relatable ways.

A “double extrovert,” ARREIS joins us today on The Quinn Spinn for a deep dive into the album, our passions, and the ways our experiences shape the world around us. Buckle up!
